My dream come true

THE. BEST. MONTH. OF. MY. LIFE.

I've always pictured this perfect day since the day I can remember and I've finally had the chance to live it. My best friend and I met 3 years ago where he swept me off my feet. We were inseparable! Meant to be! A match made in heaven! We dated for a year, when he then left for 2 years to serve for our Church; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was counting down the days for his homecoming since the day he left and it seemed like time slowed way down the closer we got to his return home.

It was finally September of 2013....I had been waiting for this moment for a whole 2 years! It was crazy to think that Michael was actually going to come home this month. A few days passed and on the 4th I had dyed my hair so it would look good for when Michael got home. I had just finished dying it, and was expecting a friend to show up at the house any minute to pick up her photos for a recent photo shoot I did for her. She had pulled up through the back driveway and I was waiting for her to come in, when the front door bell rang. I thought, "Who else is here? She is still in her car?" I go to the front door, open it, and find my best friend standing there with a bouquet of flowers and his family with the video camera! I instantly grabbed him and hugged him for so long! Michael had come home a couple of weeks early and surprised me! I had thought this day would never come....but, it did! I have my best friend, my love and my soon to be eternal companion again!

About a week after Michael coming home, he told me he had something special planned and to reserve a whole day for it. I said yes of course and couldn't be more excited! Michael came over early Tuesday morning and made me breakfast, then took me out to an afternoon movie. We then had some lunch, and headed out to Chambers Bay. We arrived there and Michael had grabbed a golf club, some golf balls and glow sticks out of the back of the car. I asked what we are going to do with those and he said that I'll see. So we go and sit on the bay and watch the sunset, and Michael then began to open the glow sticks and put the stuff that's inside the glow sticks onto the golf balls. He placed the glowing golf ball in the sand, and told me to pretend the golf ball was a shooting star and make a wish before I swung and hit the ball. I did just that and he then asked what I wished for shortly after that. I had wished that he would propose sometime soon :) He said "good!" and knelt down and asked what I had been waiting for! It was a dream come true! It was the most perfect day and had been what I always dreamed of since I was a little girl.

HOPE

How Only Perfect Endurance
can help lead and guide you...

 What does hope really mean?

"Hope is the confident expectation of and longing for the promised blessings of righteousness."
As I pondered about this definition, I thought "Do I really understand what this means?" Yes, of course I understand it; but the real question is, what do I hope for?

Mormon taught that such hope comes only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ: “What is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise” (Moroni 7:41).

Life can be rough at times, but having faith, trust and hope in my Heavenly Father is what gets me through every trial. Whenever I have a bad day, I have hope that the next day will be better. Whenever I'm having a hard time in my studies, I remember to have hope that all of my school work will someday pay off! I have faith and hope in Him that He will guide me through anything and everything. He knows what is best for me. He has a plan for me, and I have complete trust in Him and His plan.

I watched this video today, which inspired me to write about the word HOPE.
Hope you enjoy :)

The Perfect Words

"It isn’t as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don’t worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. … If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers." -Gordon B. Hinckley

This quote makes me tear up every time I read it. It is so perfect. It reminds and reassures me that my Heavenly Father is constantly by my side willing to help.  He is there for me through anything and I know that he is mindful of the challenges I face. I know that He loves me and desires to bless me and to help me. The past year and half has been the hardest time of my life. Waiting for a missionary is very tough at times, but it is also wonderful in so many ways. My best friend has had so many wonderful experiences in the mission field and those that he has shared with me has truly changed my life and has strengthened my testimony. Knowing that he is bringing families together for time and all eternity is the best feeling in the world! I am so proud of him and all that he does.

Trials are rough and sometimes seem impossible to overcome, but trust in the Lord with all of your might, mind and strength. If you do so, I promise you that because of your willingness and faith, He will bless you. He has faith in us, therefore we must have faith in Him.

After three years...

I haven't updated this blog for almost 3 years... WOW! A lot has happened the past 3 years, but not much as really changed though either. I am still happily dating Michael and I have since September 13, 2010. He is my absolute best friend and I love him with every single ounce of my heart! He really does make me the happiest woman alive! He has been serving a mission since September of 2011 and he will be home in about 5 months :)

As of right now though, here is the update on my life:
1. I'm now 19 years young
2. I am waiting for Michael while he serves his mission and supporting him every step of the way!
3. I graduated high school last year and I am now a freshman in college.
4. I work at Papa Murphy's and yes I still love to eat pizza!
5. I now have 5 nieces and 3 nephews :)

I am going to try and blog every day now, so stay posted !
